Who are we?

The Cheshire Home Birth Alliance brings together home birth families and support groups, doulas, midwives, and maternity partners across Cheshire to make Cheshire the leading region in England for safe, supported, and celebrated home births. We are a non-incorporated collaboration whose members are passionate about protecting and reinforcing home birth support in Cheshire. 

Focused on families

We know that emotionally, practically and medically home birth isn't for everyone, BUT it is a birth place option that is at risk in the current maternity environment and we want to make sure that it is always safely available in all of Cheshire for those who want to birth at home.

Evidence based information and learning

Through our website, social media and in person events we aim to provide non-judgemental, evidence based information about Home Birth and how it can be facilitated, both for families and health care professionals; and to celebrate Home Births and those who support them wholeheartedly

Membership

Through our membership we aim to strengthen collaboration between community groups,  NHS maternity teams and private maternity providers and to influence maternity policy and practice to sustain and expand high-quality, and safe home birth services in Cheshire
